History: Jerusalem has been crowned queen of the world's cities for 50 centuries. Chosen by God to be the bulwark of monotheism, Jerusalem was first mentioned in the bible during the time of Abraham under the name of Salem, meaning peace. The king of Salem was a Website and made it his capital.
First inhabited by the Canaanites, Jerusalem has been designed more than 50 times, conquered 36 times and destroyed 10 times. In 330 AD, Constantine converted Jerusalem into a Christian city and sent his mother, Helena, to build its first churches.
The walled Old City Of Jerusalem is one of the best-preserved medieval Islamic cities in the world. Its present day shape dates back to the time of Salah Ad-Din (1187AD) who recaptured the city from crusaders initiated a building process that was continued and expanded by the Mamluk sultans (1248-1517AD).
NAZARETH OF GALILEE
The angel Gabriel was sent from god to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin…and the virgin's name was marry… and he came to her and said. "Hail, O favored

Bells ring out from church towers. Cassocked monks and playing children rub shoulders with pilgrims from the world over. Aromas of fresh coffee, exotic spices and hot- from –the oven breads perfume the air in the colorful open-air market. And keeping watch above red-tiled foots and minarets, the distinctive roof of the Basilica of the Annunciation dominates from every angle.

Jordan is a largely undeveloped desert country abounding in charm. Petra, the rose-red city half as old as time, is unforgettable. Jerash is the best-preserved city of Decapolis. The desert landscape of the kings highway is breathtaking. This combined with the wonders of Jerusalem and the Galilee makes a truly memorable pilgrimage.
JERICHO
History: Jericho is the oldest town in the world, dating back more than 10,000 years. It lies 260 meters below sea level, making it also the lowest town on earth. Known as the "city of palms" Jericho contains some of the world's most important historic sites and is frequently mentioned in the Bible.
Jericho's contributions to civilization is unique. The domestication of plants and animals and the invention of pottery took place in ancient Jericho 1000 years before Mesopotamia and Egypt, while the walls and towers of Jericho preceded the pyramids of Egypt by 4000 years. Jericho's moderate climate makes it a favorite winter resort.
It is important agriculture area, producing fresh fruits and vegetables year round. Jericho dates, bananas and citrus fruits are especially famous. Located 36km east of Jerusalem, Jericho is one on the road to Amman and at the junction of the highway to Galilee.
BETHLEHEM
When the angels had left them, and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another , "Let's go to Bethlehem and sea this thing that has happened which the lord has told us about". LK2:15
History: Bethlehem lies 2500 feet above see level on the ancient caravan route 10km south of Jerusalem. Surrounding by rolling hills stretching out eastward, Bethlehem provides a remarkable view of an ancient landscape of vineyards, olive trees, and small historic villages.
Bethlehem is first mentioned in the Bible as "Ephrata" in connection with the death of Rachel. Jacob burned his beloved wife outside the town when she died in childbirth. It was to Bethlehem that the prophet Samuel came, to king David and to replace Saul. Bethlehem, where Jesus Christ was born, has been attracting millions of pilgrims and visitors ever since this historic event.
Today, at the threshold of a new millennium, Bethlehem is keenly aware of the legacy it has inherited as a spiritual centre for all Christians and for humanity at large.
THE DEAD SEA
The dead sea is the lowest point in the world at 1300 feet below sea level, and fills a natural basin formed by buy the Syria-African fault. This salty lake is fed by water which springs from the hills from the north and is swollen by the steams of water in the hills that surrounded it to the east and west. The dead sea varies in depth from 130 feet in the north to 30 feet in the south.
In the summer, the water level can go down by several feet due to evaporation. The water of the dead Sea are ten times saltier than the Mediterranean's and as such prevent the existence of any complex ecosystem. In the Bible, it is a symbol of sterility and misfortune.
The Dead sea is rich in phosphates, crucial to the economies of Israel and Palestine.
Salt deposits are common along the dead sea's coast .
